WHAT IS ABATE

 

ABATE stands for American Bikers Aimed Toward Education. There is approximately 3000 members in ABATE of New York at this time and many thousands nation wide. We are not a Motorcycle Club, but rather a Not for Profit Corporation. ABATE of New York was formed in 1974 and Incorporated in 1980. Each member receives an Embroidered patch, a yearly membership card, year pins, a state wide newsletter published Bi-monthly, a Chapter newsletter published monthly, both State & Chapter newsletters have Calendars of Motorcycle rides and events, Chapter Meeting & rides, parties, friendship & Assistance. Chapter Patches are available. We don’t all ride motorcycles, but do share the interest.

OUR PURPOSE

 

The main purpose of the ABATE organization is to work toward freedom of the road by insuring that ALL motorcyclist point of view is presented to our legislators and the promote motorcycle safety, Rider Education and awareness. We encourage all riders to be informed, registered voters and to contact our elected officials and to stay aware of what is going on with the motorcycle legislation and education. Check us out!
